Its all about the soil....Being able to assess soil and compost samples under the microscope is an important tool in rebuilding soil structure. Once the soil structure is rebuilt the relationship between the soil and the plant begins to function which replaces the need for fertilizers.

We are here to help...

The above photo is a picture of a waystation for monarch butterflies and other pollinators that we put in in a public place in Taos, NM, yes, a public place and for a reason. We wanted to create a demonstration garden to be able to start a conversation with our community about soil and its current health and ways to help rebuild its structure. (Check out our photos on our contact us page).

We started building compost piles using mostly locally sourced materials, that would normally be going to the landfill. It’s a recipe that will create a biologically complete compost, in 21 days, it stays hot enough for long enough to burn out the weed seed. (which means we can use bind weed and elm with no problems) The biologically complete compost has the missing microbes in it that were taken out by the green revolution. (use of Round up). Biologically complete compost along with cover crops will help speed up the rebuilding process of our so depleted soils.
